The Boddies Are All In

MEET ANTHONY & FAMILY

WHY WE’RE ALL IN

Fort Mill is our forever home - a place I hope my grandchildren will call home one day.

When our schools thrive, our community thrives.

When our community thrives, our investments - in our relationships, our homes and neighborhoods, our churches, our local businesses and foundations - grow and thrive as well.

The Boddies are all in because, in all facets of school and life, we want to continue raising the bar for FMSD staff, students, and families today and into the future.

Meet Anthony

Anthony (AB) has been a resident of Fort Mill since 2006, relocating from the Cincinnati area.  He was born in the northern suburbs of Chicago and spent some of his childhood years in Memphis. Over his career, he’s lived in Kansas City, St. Louis and Northern California. He and his wife, Kathy, have been married since 2007. They have a 14-year-old daughter, Addison, who will be beginning her freshman year at Nation Ford High School.

He is committed to serving his community and volunteers in several capacities on numerous local boards and non-profit service organizations, including serving as Board Chair of Defend the Fatherless, York District Chairman- Palmetto Council Boys Scouts of America, Governance Board for the Boys and Girls Club of York County, and a Committee Member of Anne Springs Greenway. From 2016 to 2019, Anthony served as Volunteer Manager for Community Café, and Meal Server for the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte. He mentors high school students across the York County area and has written more than 350 recommendation letters (Colleges, Scholarships and Eagle Scouts) over the last four years.

Anthony also founded the Community of Hearts Project, which is a service project created and coordinated to serve local underserved communities. Multiple times a month, Anthony leads groups of volunteers and picks up non-perishables, furniture items, clothing, home goods, etc., to distribute to the underserved communities. He attends Forest Hill Church.

Currently, he works as an executive sales rep for a global organization named RICOH USA. His role is to open new doors with key stakeholders in most vertical markets and help them solve critical business challenges with a diverse services and solutions portfolio. With over 25 years of leadership experience, his professional career has revolved around creating memories for millions of visitors at entertainment venues across North America. Over the years, he honed his management, communication, training, planning, hiring, and sales skills in executive positions.

Anthony’s relationship management skills are impeccable, as he managed many third-party operations inside of theme parks, zoos, and other entertainment venues across the U.S and Canada. His role was to uncover and generate revenue opportunities by providing a good retail experience for the consumer and managing client relationships. He managed leadership positions and was indirectly responsible for more than 2,000 team members. More than 50% of his employees were high schoolers. Anthony was responsible for establishing relationships with some of the best school districts across the U.S. for hiring purposes.  Also, he has managed more than $100M portfolio in revenues, facilitated training and trained more than 10,000 employees, and hired more than 5,000 full-time and seasonal employees over a 25-year period.

He was a communications/liberal arts major at the College of Lake County located in Grayslake, Illinois. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of the campus newspaper, The Chronicle. Under his team’s leadership, The Chronicle earned a Pacemaker Finalist Award as one of the best college publications in the country. The Pacemaker Award is the highest honor and unofficially known as the “Pulitzer Prize” of college student journalism. While at the College of Lake County, he also represented the student body with professors and administration on a search committee for the next President of the College.

Meet Kathy

Kathy who leads finance teams for multiple theme parks across the U.S., has been involved with PTO since Addison Camille was in Kindergarten. She held the treasurer role six times between both schools.

By getting involved, Kathy believes you can assist in the support of the whole school community. Additionally, she feels becoming an active member of your school’s PTO can also help you develop a relationship with the staff and administration, allowing them to put a face with a name.

Kathy has been a huge supporter of FMSD’s Art educational programs ever since Addison was a toddler. She would take Addison to see plays and musicals. She believes arts education can help develop their creativity, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving abilities. Kathy believes it can also help build self-confidence and resilience.

She enjoys attending FMSD events with the family, supporting FMSD teachers, and supporting the arts. Kathy is also a passionate reader.

As Addison Camille begins her freshman year, Kathy is considering how to best use her skill set in the district as a volunteer. Kathy is all in supporting FMSD!

Meet Addison

Addison begins her freshmen year at Nation Ford High School in August of 2024.

She had a wonderful experience at Fort Mill Elementary and Middle School. Some of her fondest memories of her teachers will be how supportive they were in the classroom and giving her the right amount of freedom and guidance at the same time. She believes her teachers helped her view on life and school in different ways. Addison believes her teachers’ consistency in showing up to watch her teams compete made her want to show up in everything she does.

Addison was a very good student athlete in Middle School and was awarded the Jerry M. Sorrow Student-Athlete Award at the end of the school year. She helped her teams win two volleyball championships, one basketball championship, and one track and field championship.

Addison’s goal is to be a solid student and make the high school basketball and track & field teams. In her free time, she loves shopping with her mother and friends, attending sporting events with her father, and serving at church. Addison is All In representing and supporting Nation Ford High School and FMSD!
